No. 9 Men’s Golf Wraps Opening Round at NCAA Championship

CARLSBAD, Calif. – No. 9 Ole Miss men's golf completed the first round of the NCAA Championship at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa on Friday with a scorecard of 303 (+15) to sit in a tie for 28th place.
Cameron Tankersley led the way for the Rebels, shooting 1-over on the day. Starting strong, Tankersley picked up back-to-back birdies on his first two holes of the day to see him make the turn 1-under. The Dickson, Tennessee, native earned another circle on the par 5 2nd and will go into day two with a share of 57th place.
Tom Fischer sat second on the leaderboard for Ole Miss, posting 4-over. The senior capped off his round with a birdie on the 426-yards par 4 9th.
Collins Trolio and Finn Meister both shot 5-over in their opening rounds. Cohen Trolio tallied 5-over while making three birdies in four holes to begin the back nine.
Ole Miss will tee off the second round with the morning wave Saturday morning as Coh. Trolio is set to kick things off for the Rebels at 9:25 a.m. CT off No. 1.
