5/10/2026 | Softball
OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss softball program has earned a berth in the 2026 NCAA Tournament, as the Rebels will compete in the Lubbock Regional, from May 15-17.
Joining the Rebels in the Lubbock Regional will be the host No. 11 seeded Texas Tech, Boston University and Marist. The Rebels will open the event on Friday at 1 p.m. CT against the Terriers (46-13, 16-2 Patriot). The game will be televised on ESPNU.
The Rebels will face the Terriers for the first time in program history. The Rebels have also never faced Marist, while the program last met Texas Tech in the 2025 Women's College World Series.
The Rebels have secured the program's tenth consecutive berth in the NCAA Tournament, including every season under head coach Jamie Trachsel. The Rebels made history in 2025 by reaching the program's first ever Women's College World Series.
The Rebels are led by All-SEC contributors Madi George and Persy Llamas, who have contributed to another big offensive season from the team. The Rebels have hit a program-record 79 home runs, including 21 of those from George, who set the single-season record at Ole Miss.
More information on the regional will be made available closer to the start of competition.
