ADRIENNE MOTLEY – ASSISTANT COACH
Motley comes to Oxford after spending three seasons at Penn State. In her first year with the Lady Lions, she served as the Director of Player Development, assisting on and off the court in the team’s historic run in the inaugural WBIT Final Four, while posting their best overall record in 10 years. She was promoted to assistant coach for her final two years in Happy Valley, where she helped the program earn their first top 10 win since 2012 by taking down No. 9/8 Ohio State during the 2024-25 season.
“I am thrilled to have Adrienne join our program,” said McPhee-McCuin. “She is renowned at player development and has a sharp basketball mind who brings a wealth of experience as an All-Conference player, a WNBA Draft pick, and professional player overseas. I look forward to her positively impacting our program for our players.”
As a collegiate athlete, Motley was a four-year starter for Miami, compiling a total of 1,844 points in 129 contests. She earned honorable mention All-America honors as well as Regional Finalist accolades from the Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Association, four consecutive placements on All-ACC teams, including two first team nods, and a Senior CLASS Award in her final collegiate season. Success at the NCAA level led her to becoming the 32nd selection of the 2017 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever.
Soon after turning pro, Motley went on to play professionally in Europe. She played for the Lulea Basket (Sweden), Celta Zorka Vigo (Spain), AO Eleftheria Moshatou (Greece), MBK Ruzomberok (Slovakia), and most recently, Rapid Bucharest (Romania). A few of the honors she earned overseas included a 2023 Romanian League Guard of the Year and first team selection, a 2022 Slovakian Extraliga second team honor and a 2019 Spanish Liga Femenina first team award.
Motley gained valuable leadership and community skills through involvement in several organizations. She notably worked as an assistant coach for the Boo Williams Summer League Girls 16U Elite Team and the Minnesota Fury Under Armour Elite Team.
“I am beyond excited to be in Oxford and join the Ole Miss family,” said Motley. “What Coach Yo has built here year after year has already made it a special place. So, I am honored to join such an elite and competitive program. I’m ready to get to work, pour into this team, and represent this program with pride! Hotty Toddy!”

MYAH TAYLOR – ASSISTANT COACH/ON-CAMPUS RECRUITING COORDINATOR
Taylor is being promoted after spending the past two seasons as the Coordinator of Operations for Ole Miss. She was an integral part of the Rebels’ success on and off the court, including helping to assemble ESPN’s No. 2 ranked transfer portal class last season and advancing to the program’s 12th Sweet 16 in 2025.
“Myah has a bright future in our profession,” said McPhee-McCuin. “She brings a sharp eye for detail and tremendous work ethic to our coaching staff. Myah is a Mississippi native who has grown up in our system, possesses a unique understanding of my vision, and is perfectly positioned to mentor our players. I am elated to promote her to this new role where her dedication will continue to help drive our program move forward.”
Prior to returning to Oxford, Taylor spent a season overseas with Vasas Akademia, playing in 24 games in Hungary’s top professional women’s league. In 24 games, Taylor averaged 8.4 points, 3.3 assists and 2.2 steals per game. Prior to Hungary, Taylor spent eight games with Freseras Irapuato in Mexico.
Coming to Ole Miss as a graduate transfer for the 2022-23 season, Taylor was an instrumental part in leading the Rebels to its first Sweet 16 appearance since 2007. The Olive Branch, native paced the Rebels in assists with a total of 113 for an average of 3.6 per game. Taylor provided a key defensive presence for Ole Miss, with an average of 1.7 steals per game and came up clutch when needed. With 15 seconds remaining in the Second Round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament against No. 1 Stanford, it was Taylor’s steal that secured Ole Miss’ upset victory against the Cardinal.
Prior to her year in Oxford, Taylor spent four seasons at Mississippi State where she concluded her career as a Bulldog ranking sixth in total assists with a total of 445, third in assists per game at 3.9 and eighth in total steals with 195.
Coming out of Olive Branch High School, Taylor was touted as a five-star prospect and the best overall in Mississippi and was named the Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year three times.
“This is a full circle moment,” said Taylor. “From playing under Coach Yo’s guidance to now coaching alongside her and the other amazing coaches, I couldn’t thank her enough for the opportunity! I’m excited to keep growing and begin my coaching journey. There’s no other place I’d rather be than Ole Miss!”
TYLER BUCKNER – VIDEO COORDINATOR
Buckner will join the Ole Miss staff fulltime after spending two seasons serving as a graduate assistant. While working with the Rebels, he was a key contributor in the video services, helping Ole Miss make its Sweet 16 run during the 2024-25 season and assisting the Rebels’ three top-five wins this past year.
“Tyler has been an asset to our success the past two seasons,” said McPhee-McCuin. “His dependability and work-ethic have been invaluable and I am excited to promote him to this expanded role in our program as he continues to grow in our profession.”
Buckner came to Oxford after one season as a graduate assistant at Kennesaw State. With the Owls, Buckner assisted with all video operations and assisted in player development.
As an undergrad, Buckner spent four years as the head student assistant with Tennessee State men's basketball. In Nashville, Buckner led all other student assistants and assisted with equipment as well as any other operations needs.
“Blessed and thankful for the opportunity to continue this journey,” said Buckner. “Huge thank you to Coach Yo for the belief and trust in me. This program is special, and I'm ready to keep building something historic. The Sip really is the move!”
