Women’s Basketball Adds Emily Howard for 2026-27 Campaign
4/9/2026 | Women's Basketball
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss women's basketball head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin continues to reload the Rebel roster for the 2026-27 season, as she announces the addition of center Emily Howard from Boise State on Thursday.
"Emily is an outstanding individual," said McPhee-McCuin. "Her talent is great, but the person she is is what sealed the deal for me! Emily will impact our program immediately with her size, skill and competitive mindset!"
In her only year as a Bronco, Howard appeared in 27 games off the bench, averaging 2.4 points and 1.8 rebounds, while adding eight blocks on the season.
Prior to her time at Boise State, Howard spent three years playing for Liberty. In 2024-25, she appeared in seven games averaging 7.4 points on a 58.3 shooting clip from the field and 3.6 rebounds, before suffering a season-ending injury. The two years prior, the Vancouver, British Columbia, native appeared in 47 games after redshirting her freshman season.
Graduating from Harding Academy in Memphis, Tennessee, Howard averaged 16.9 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 blocks. The 6-foot-5 center was named District Player of the Year as a junior, was a three-time First Team All-District honoree and earned All-Metro Team recognition.
Joining Talaysia Cooper as the second addition for the Rebels out of the transfer portal, and returners Desrae Kyles, Lauren Jacobs and Sira Thienou, Ole Miss currently has five student-athletes on its 2026-27 roster with more to come.
