George Tabbed to Softball America April Position Power Rankings

4/2/2026 | Softball

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss softball freshman Madi George has added another national recognition to her growing list of achievements, earning a place in Softball America's April position power rankings.

George was named the No. 19 ranked outfielder in the nation in the latest power rankings. It marks the second consecutive month in the national rankings for George. George was also ranked seventh among SEC outfielders, and behind only Oklahoma's Kai Minor among SEC freshmen.

The freshman has shined in the cleanup spot for the Rebels, hitting .369 with 10 home runs, 31 RBI, 16 total extra-base hits and 21 walks. George leads the Rebels in home runs, walks, total bases, slugging and on base percentage and now stands just one home run away from entering the single season top-10 at Ole Miss.

George and the Rebels have several days off, before welcoming Samford to Oxford for a Tuesday night matchup on Apr. 7 at 7:30 p.m. CT. The game will be televised on the SEC Network.
