Track & Field’s Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan on The Bowerman Watch List March Update
3/5/2026 | Track and Field
NEW ORLEANS – Ole Miss track & field senior and three-time NCAA Champion Tarik Robinson-O'Hagan remains on the watch list for The Bowerman for 2026, as announced in its March update on Thursday afternoon.
The Bowerman – collegiate track & field's version of the Heisman Trophy – began in 2009 and is presented each year to the most outstanding male and female athletes in the nation. The trophy is named after famed Oregon head coach, Bill Bowerman.
This is the 11th watch list appearance for Robinson-O'Hagan, all consecutively, since first doing so in the preseason for the 2025 season. His first connection with The Bowerman, however, was as an award semifinalist following his superb sophomore campaign in 2024. Robinson-O'Hagan is one of four throwers on the March watch list and one of three athletes overall from the SEC alongside Oklahoma thrower Ralford Mullings and Auburn sprinter Kanyinsola Ajayi.
Robinson-O'Hagan is coming off his third consecutive sweep of the shot put and weight throw at the SEC Indoor Championships, the 10th and 11th conference titles of his storied career. His 20 points won him a third consecutive SEC Cliff Harper Trophy, and helped push the Rebel men to a runner-up finish at 67 total points – the best-ever finish by an Ole Miss team indoors and tied with the 1984 outdoor runners-up for the best across both seasons.
Most recently, Robinson-O'Hagan earned his fourth indoor double berth to the NCAA Championships, qualifying in both of his marquee events. He enters nationals as the NCAA leader in the shot put at his career-best 21.18m/69-6 from Clemson's Bob Pollock Invitational in January, which ranks him second in SEC history and 20th in collegiate history indoors – and on the doorstep of becoming the first 70-footer indoors in conference history.
In the weight throw, Robinson-O'Hagan ranks fourth nationally at his season debut 23.78m/78-00.25. In the shot, he has not lost to a fellow collegian indoors since the 2024 Razorback Invitational and only once since April 2024. In the weight, Robinson-O'Hagan has only been bested by fellow collegians five times in his Ole Miss career – three times in the NCAA final.
Robinson-O'Hagan enters his final indoor meet at Ole Miss ranked second in collegiate history in combined shot put/weight throw PRs at 45.53m, second only to North Dakota State's Payton Otterdahl from 2019 (45.92m).
Across his spectacular career, Robinson-O'Hagan is a three-time NCAA Champion, 12-time All-American, 11-time SEC Champion, four-time SEC Field Athlete of the Year, four-time SEC points trophy winner and 12-time SEC medalist with 59 career NCAA points and 124 SEC points scored.
The next watch list updates will come following the upcoming 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships, which Robinson-O'Hagan and six other Rebels will compete at March 13-14 at the University of Arkansas.
