OXFORD, Miss. – The University of Mississippi men's basketball team defeated the UAB Blazers in the final exhibition game, 92-78. Ole Miss had six players in double figures and Adam "Budd" Clark led all Rebels in scoring with 18.

Ole Miss and UAB traded the lead nine times in a back-and-forth first half, with the Blazers taking a narrow 45-44 advantage into the break.

Senior Adam "Budd" Clark opened the scoring for the Rebels before sophomore Roman Siulepa added five quick points to keep Ole Miss even early. Consecutive three-pointers from freshman Yohance Connor and senior Ben Henshall gave the Rebels a 13-10 lead at the first media timeout.

The teams continued to exchange baskets, with Corey Stephenson connecting on a midrange fadeaway and Henshall tying the game at 19 from the free-throw line. Patton Pinkins later knocked down his first three-pointer before Santiago Trouet added a hook shot to put Ole Miss back in front.

UAB responded with back-to-back three-pointers to take a 31-28 lead, but the Rebels stayed within striking distance as Pinkins and Siulepa connected on an alley-oop. Henshall then drained a three-pointer on a second-chance opportunity to put Ole Miss back in front, while Trouet and Stephenson added baskets inside to help maintain the Rebels' advantage. However, UAB scored a late layup to take a 45-44 lead into halftime.

Ole Miss came out strong defensively to open the second half, forcing turnovers on UAB's first two possessions. Clark scored on the Rebels' opening possession before Trouet added a midrange jumper to give Ole Miss an early three-point advantage. After UAB connected on back-to-back three-pointers, Clark answered with a contested jumper to keep the Rebels within one.

The teams continued to trade baskets before Pinkins converted a floater off an assist from Clark to tie the game at 54. Trouet and Siulepa followed with baskets to put Ole Miss back in front, and Karmardine's three-pointer extended the advantage to four. Karmardine then found Stephenson for an alley-oop as the Rebels built their largest lead to that point at 65-59.

Trouet ended a two-minute scoring drought with a two-handed dunk, while Clark continued to lead the offense with a driving layup. With under five minutes remaining, Clark recorded his seventh assist of the game by finding Pinkins for a three-pointer to make it 76-69.

Ole Miss pulled away down the stretch as Pinkins completed an old-fashioned three-point play to push the lead into double digits. Clark added a steal and coast-to-coast layup, and the Rebels forced turnovers on three consecutive UAB possessions. Stephenson capped the strong second-half performance with a powerful dunk as Ole Miss secured a 92-78 victory.
