Track & Field Wraps Up at NCAA East Regional

5/31/2025 | Track and Field

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Ole Miss track & field has concluded competition at the 2025 NCAA East Regional, and will head to Oregon for the national meet in two weeks with 13 total qualifying berths.

The Rebel women took part in three events on Saturday, the final day of the four-day regional meet.

Ole Miss started the day with a pair in the women's triple jump, including senior Dieusi Armand, who came narrowly close to punching her national ticket with a 14th-place finish at 12.85m/42-2 (+2.5). Freshman Madison Martinez finished 35th in her first regional meet at 12.37m/40-7 (-0.1). Today wraps a historic season by the Rebel duo, who put themselves second and third all-time in the Ole Miss outdoor record books.

The Rebel women also had two representatives in distance races on Saturday evening. Junior Hannah Ielfield finished 40th in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase quarterfinals at 10:40.17, while senior Beth Arentz took 35th in the women's 5K semifinals at 16:14.97.

With the East Regional now in the rearview, Ole Miss will set its sights on the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships, where the Rebels will send 15 athletes on 13 total entries – including a men's program record 11 entries and 13 athletes. The national meet returns this year to TrackTown USA at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field, with competition set to run June 11-14.
