Three from Volleyball to Attend USA Volleyball National Team Open Program

OXFORD, Miss. – Three members of the Ole Miss volleyball program have been selected to compete at the USA Volleyball National Team Open Program, from February 20 to 23rd, in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Setter Mokihana Tufono and libero Cammy Niesen will compete on the court, while associate head coach Taylor Gregory will coach.
The Women's National Team Open Program is a development opportunity used for potential selection to both the U.S. Women's National Team and age-group national teams of USA Volleyball's National Team Development Program (NTDP).
One of the top setters in the SEC, Tufono made waves in her first season in Oxford, where she earned AVCA All-South Region honors. The Aiea, Hawaii, native ranked second in the SEC with 1,173 assists, while adding 286 digs, 60 blocks, 43 kills and 21 service aces. Tufono recorded an NCAA program-record 59 assists in the NCAA Tournament win over No. 21 Florida State, matching a career-high also accomplished at No. 14 Texas.
The 2024 SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year, Niesen also took home AVCA All-South Region honorable mention honors for the first time. The Cincinnati, Ohio native recorded 537 digs to average 4.48 per set. Her single season total was the second most by a Rebel in the rally scoring era and the third most across all eras, behind only Tara Langley (2007) and Nicole Purcell (2019). Niesen also moved into sole possession of third place on the Rebels all-time digs list.
