Track & Field and Cross Country’s Ryann Helmers Named CSC Third-Team Academic All-American

AUSTIN, Texas – Ole Miss track & field and cross country senior Ryann Helmers has been named a CSC Third-Team Academic All-American, as announced by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.
Helmers – a native of Sanderson, Texas – recently completed her master's in curriculum and instruction with a perfect 4.0 GPA. This is the latest academic honor for Helmers, who in her Rebel career has owns five appearances on the USTFCCCA All-Academic teams.
Last fall, Helmers recorded the best finish ever by a Rebel woman at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, becoming the second All-American in program history after finishing 23rd overall. In her cross country career as a Rebel, Helmers is a three-time NCAA All-South Region honoree, two-time Second-Team All-SEC finisher and she owns five of the 14 known sub-20 6K times in Ole Miss women's cross country history.
On the track, Helmers is a four-time SEC scorer and owns three top-15 times in the Ole Miss record books – her best being the fourth-best 10K time in Rebel women's history of 33:39.88 at the 2023 Stanford Invite.
Ole Miss also had several make the CSC Academic All-District list back on June 18. For the Rebel men, those honored were Iangelo Atkinstall-Daley, Aiden Britt, Jake Dalton, Marcus Dropik and Dereck Elkins. For the Ole Miss women, honorees were Skylar Boogerd, Ryann Helmers and Loral Winn.
