OXFORD, Miss. - Fresh off earning a spot in the 2017 NCAA Men's Golf Championship, Ole Miss men's golfers Noah West and Ben Wolcott received their degrees in a special ceremony at the Lyceum on Friday morning.
Joined by their friends, family and coaches, West and Wolcott heard from Provost Noel Wilkin as well as Executive Associate Athletics Director Lynnette Johnson, who reminded them that their degrees open many doors and sets them up for a successful future. Wilkins thanked them for their contributions not only to Ole Miss Athletics but also to the great University of Mississippi community and expressed excitement for what their futures hold.
West and Wolcott aren't done competing for the Rebels, as they will lead Ole Miss into the 2017 NCAA Championship next week at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois for the first time since 2001. Ole Miss is one of 30 teams that advanced to the championship to be held May 26-31. The national championship layout is four rounds of stroke play May 26-28 with the top eight teams advancing to match play beginning May 29.
