OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss cross country team returns to action this Saturday as the men and women travel to Newark, Del., for the Delaware Invitational.

The event will feature a 5k race for women, while the men will race at 8k for the first time this season.

The Rebel women are hoping to build on the momentum they gained after winning the season's opening meet at the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic. The women are ranked No. 13 in the South Region by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association heading into their second meet of the season.

Senior Logan Waites will lead the Rebel women, looking for her second win of the season, after she captured the individual title in Memphis.

The Rebel men are ranked No. 8 in the South region by the USTFCCCA after opening their season with a fourth-place finish in Memphis. The men's team features the tandem of senior Martin Kirui and sophomore Kipchirchir Kiptoo, who are expected to pace the Rebels this weekend.

The team will face competition from around the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
