OXFORD, Miss. - Dori Carter (Valdosta, Ga.), J.J. Flynn (Mt. Zion, Ill.) and Rachel Ingram (Jonesborough, Tenn.) have each signed national letters of intent to attend the University of Mississippi and compete for the Lady Rebel golf program, head coach Megan Bolger announced Tuesday afternoon. The trio will be eligible for the 2005-06 academic year.

"Dori, J.J. and Rachel are all very accomplished high school golfers and I'm looking forward to working with them at this level," Bolger said. "This group will be a tremendous addition to our program. Dori, J.J. and Rachel are all talented athletes and great people. I think these three young women understand where this program has been and where we want to go."

Carter, a senior at Valdosta High School, fired a 71 to finish third at the 2004 Georgia High School Athletic Association 5A State Championships. Over the past year, Carter has turned in a pair of American Junior Golf Association top-10 efforts -- second (72-75-72--219) at the Golfpride Junior Classic in Cornelius, N.C. and eighth (75-76-73--224) at the Burgett Mooney Jr. in Rome, Ga. She has also spent time on the Southeastern Junior Golf Tour, posting a two-round total of 144 (72-72) in Pensacola, Fla., and 153 (79-74) in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

"Dori is very athletic individual who will bring a lot to the table," Bolger said. "We have had a lot of success with recruits from the state of Georgia and look forward to continuing that trend with her."

Flynn, a senior at Mt. Zion High School, recorded a 73-76--149 to capture the 2003 Decatur Junior Open. Over the past year, she has recorded three PGA Junior Series top-five finishes -- second in Illinois (79-77-78--234), second in Iowa (78-73--151) and fourth in Wisconsin (81-77--158). In 2003, Flynn qualified for the Western Junior Girls Championship Flight by posting a 75 in the qualifying round. Off the links, she is involved in the school's Student Council and Future Business Leaders of America organization.

"J.J. will do a terrific job of representing our program, both on and off the course," Bolger said. "She is a very well-rounded person who excels in athletics, academics and a variety of other areas."

Ingram, a senior at University High School in Johnson City, is a two-time Tennessee First Team All-State selection (2001-02) and three-time Regional Player of the Year (2001-03). Over the past year, she has placed in the top 10 of two American Junior Golf Association tournaments -- third at the Ashworth Junior in Hot Springs, Ark. (77-77--154) and seventh at the Tennessee Junior (76-74-74--224). Ingram also registered a 12th-place finish at the North/South Junior in Pinehurst, N.C.

"Being from the state of Tennessee, Rachel knows all about the Southeastern Conference," Bolger said. "She is a very enthusiastic person who will also bring a lot to our program."

Ole Miss kicks off its 2005 spring campaign Feb. 21-22 at the Bay Area Classic in San Jose, Calif. The Lady Rebels will be searching for their third-straight NCAA Tournament appearance in May after being invited to postseason play in 2003 and 2004.
