Rebels Head To Tuscaloosa

OXFORD, Miss.-- Coming off a third place finish at the Louisiana Classics on March 12- 13, the Ole Miss men's golf team now prepares for the 2001 Alabama Spring Invitational Friday- Sunday at the Ol' Colony Golf Course in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The 15-team tournament field includes: Alabama, College of Charleston, Central Florida, Florida State, Georgia State, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi State, South Alabama, Southeastern Louisiana, South Florida, Troy State, UAB, and Vanderbilt.
At the Louisiana Classics, Ole Miss' Troy Muller captured his second tournament title of the year. Muller fired a 69-71--139 to capture medalist honors. The tournament was shorted to 36 holes due to heavy rains in the Lafayette, La., area. He also won the Gary Koch/Cleveland Intercollegiate in October.
Muller also leads the Rebels in scoring average with a 72.30 average in 23 rounds played this season.
Following play at the Alabama Spring Invitational, the Rebels will return to the state of Alabama to play in the Billy Hitchcock Intercollegiate, hosted by Auburn University. The tournament will be played on April 6-8 at the Saugahtchee Country Club in Opelika, Ala.
