OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss men's golf coach Woody Cowart has announced the signing of two golfers for the 2001-2002 season. Jarrod Gardner of Austin, Texas and Reid Davis of Meridian, Miss., have signed letters-of-intent to play for the Rebels.

Gardner is currently attending Westwood High School in Austin, Texas. In his high school career, he has been named to the All-District for three years and was named to the All- Regional and All-State teams his junior year.

Davis is currently attending Lamar High School in Meridian, Miss. That is the same school that produced current Rebel golfer Robert Dreyfus. He has helped his team to the state championship while at Lamar.

"We are glad to sign these two quality players," said Cowart. "We are looking forward to them coming in and making an impact on our program."

The Rebels finished their fall season with three top-five finishes in four tournaments. Ole Miss will be back in action on Feb. 10-11, 2001, when they travel to Gainesville, Fla., to participate in the Gator Invitational.
