Ole Miss Men's Golf Finishes Fifth At Adams Cup

NEWPORT, RI- The Ole Miss golf team finished in fifth place at the Adams Cup of Newport. The Rebels finished with a 54-hole total of 881 (292-288-301) and finished 13 strokes behind tournament champion Virginia Tech (289-288-291--868).

The Rebels, led by Phil Caravia (70-74-75), Andrew Medley (75-69-75), and Robert Dreyfus (74-71-74) finished in a tie for ninth place with a 54-hole score of 219. Troy Muller finished in 30th place with a score of 224 (73-74-77) and Buck Purselley finished in 60th with a score of 239 (81-78-80).

The Rebels will be in action again Oct. 13-17 at the Gary Koch-Cleveland Intercollegiate in Tampa, Fla.
